H2O Packing List 

  • Long pants for hiking 
  • Sweats or evening pants 
  • Shorts
  • Shirts (short and long sleeve) 
  • Swim suit 
  • Towels, one for shower/one for beach 
  • Flip flops and/or “walking sandal” style footwear 
  • Socks and underwear 
  • Hiking boots/walking shoes (shoes should have good ankle support) 
  • Extra pair of shoes 
  • Cap/hat with brim for protection from sun (and can stay on in the wind) 
  • Jacket, waterproof 
  • Gloves, lightweight Rain/wind gear - rain jacket with hood & pants AND/OR poncho (perfect for going over the backpack!) 
  • Sunscreen – easy to apply Sunglasses Camera – inexpensive or heavy duty to survive beaches, rocks, etc. 
  • Reading material 
  • Electronic entertainment device (no laptop computers, and to be used only during drives) Insect repellant Personal first-aid supplies (band-aids, etc.) 
  • Sturdy day backpack, large enough to carry water, lunch, rain gear, and journal 
  • Flashlight, batteries removed 
  • Additional headlamp is optional 
  • Extra batteries & charging cords 
  • Spending money 
  • Water bottle(s) – two medium size is best 
  • Trash bag, for laundry/wet items 


First Day in Backpack: 

  • Layers of clothing 
  • Extra footwear 
  • PED – Personal Entertainment Devices – electronic and non-electronic 
  • Camera 
  • Water Bottle 
  • Small first aid kit 
  • Towel (one of them) 
  • Binoculars (optional) 


For the Cabins:

 

  • Sleeping bag & pillow (or sheets/comforter) 
  • Pajamas/nightwear 
  • Toiletries (including soap and shampoo) 
  • Towel (paper towels are available for hand drying) 


Medications: All medications need to be given to the Medical Officer and be in the original container. These should be listed on your registration form. 


Please do not bring: Electrical appliances such as hair dryers or curling irons Laptop computers Candy or soda, except for what might be included in your first day’s lunch 


Meals: ISLE Project will provide all breakfasts, snacks, lunches, and dinners. (Students need to bring a packed lunch for the first day.)
